ReAuthorize an Integration

Sometimes you will need to re-authorize a Pipe17 integration. This is often needed when the initial permissions granted to our integration are not enough for improved functionality we introduce.

Here are the steps you should use. Note while performing this function orders, products and other data will not flow. So you may want to do this work outside of times where you know order activity is high.

  1. Disable the existing integration. Use the toggle in the upper right of the integration detail window.

2. Confirm your decision via the pop-up dialog

3. Then click the Connect button and if the connection uses OAuth you accept prompts to grant permissions in the other application. Here is an example using our Shopify integration.

and the “OAuth” permissions grant page will look like:

4. If the connection is not OAuth, then you’ll need to enter a few connection values like an API key and secret

5. Once the required information is entered and accept any permissions needed, then you will get a new tab in your browser that says “Connected Successfully” and a request to close that window.

6. Once you have closed that new tab and then go back to Pipe17. Open the integration page and for the integration you just updated it should either show a “Spinning Wheel” next to the green enabled toggle or just the toggle. A successful connection looks like the two below:

7. Wait 10 minutes and confirm that all recent orders have been received by Pipe17

Note: If you cannot complete these steps successfully and have the necessary information, contact Pipe17 support. Please share what you are trying to do and any error messages you received.
